Inclusive coaching
Celebrating uniqueness Making a difference
At Coaching with a Difference, I provide two distinct coaching services tailored for the education space:
- For the individual – Dedicated coaching for neurodivergent teachers to help them thrive in their careers without burning out.
- For the classroom – Strategic coaching for educators looking to build deeply inclusive, accessible learning environments.

Coaching with a Difference
The neuro-inclusive space for educators to reclaim their energy, boundaries and careers.

Mission
Introduction
Teaching can take a huge sensory and cognitive toll, often leading to burnout, executive dysfunction and RSD. I provide a neuro-affirming space to help you manage your wellbeing, secure workplace adjustments and build an inclusive classroom.
Or you may feel you are ready to leave teaching. In which case, I can support you to utilise your skillset and transition, guilt-free, into a new career.

Coaching
Support tailored to your role
Tailored coaching for neurodivergent teachers, support around burnout, RSD, and executive dysfunction, and coaching for educators and decision-makers on inclusive strategies for neurodivergent students.
History
My Story
With 26 years in education, including 10 years as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), I have supported hundreds of neurodivergent people and trained many teachers on inclusion. My journey expanded after meeting my husband, who has ADHD, prompting me to explore neurodivergence through courses with The ADHD Foundation. This journey deepened when my son was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD, motivating me to obtain a Postgraduate Certificate in Dyslexia Research and Practice.
I have also spoken at many teaching conferences and written many articles for media on neurodivergence and inclusion.
After being coached myself, I was impressed by the positive impact it had and decided to embark on qualifying as a coach myself, graduating with the first accredited course in the UK – Barrett Coaching, as a trauma-informed, ADHD and neurodivergence coach.

“Being coached by Suzanne was such a great experience and I was really able to move forward with my goal and the barriers I’ve been facing. Suzanne is warm and welcoming and easy to open up to without any sense of judgement. As well as some
great questions that had me pause and help me get to the bottom of some issues I was facing, Suzanne also offered advice and suggestions that felt gentle yet challenging. Suzanne’s knowledge of neurodivergence was evident and I felt like her coaching
approach took my ADHD into account. I felt understood and that I didn’t need to have to explain myself in terms of any struggles in achieving my goal that were related to ADHD. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Suzanne as a coach.”

“Before working with Suzanne, I was drowning in my teaching role, battling executive dysfunction and a relentless cycle of burnout. The admin workload and lack of understanding from my managers made me feel like a failure. Suzanne provided a safe, neuro-affirming space where I learned how my brain actually worked best, compassionately guiding me to find strategies to help tackle workload. This support completely transformed my career. I gained the confidence to advocate for myself and ask the college for reasonable adjustments. This ultimately lead me to seek an official ADHD diagnosis. I have decided to stay in education but I now have solid boundaries and appreciate my neurodivergence.”

“I’m incredibly grateful for the support and guidance I received from Suzanne. From our first meeting, she made me feel truly understood and valued. Her thoughtful approach helped me embrace my challenges with dyslexia and ADHD, and her strategies have made a real difference in how I manage my time and priorities at work. Suzanne connected with me on a personal level and helped me understand my learning differences while showing me how to leverage my strengths. Thanks to her, I feel more confident moving forward. Working with Suzanne has been a blessing, and anyone who gets the chance to do the same is very lucky.”

There’s No Such Thing as a ‘Slow’ or ‘Lazy’ Brain
“Being open about the way my brain processes the world, I’ve noticed, encourages others to reveal their own differences. It creates a different dynamic in the room, where the energy is open and honest. It’s a dynamic that I strive for all children — especially neurodivergent youth —to experience.” The first time I remember…

The reality of teaching with a neurodivergent brain (and how coaching can help you navigate it).
